The Fort Wayne Education
Association has been working to improve Fort Wayne area schools since 1915.
A part of the Indiana State Teacher's Association, FWEA is dedicated to creating
an ideal work environment for Fort Wayne teachers. We believe that our children
are the future of our community, and therefore, our teachers should be treated
in the highest respect.
Our records date back to the Fort Wayne Teachers Association in 1915. In 1972,
we became the Fort Wayne Education Association, Inc. Our rich history includes
one of the first master contracts in Indiana. Since it's inception, FWEA has
advocated for students, teachers and public education and helped to improve
the state of the Fort Wayne Community Schools.
